E MB-NCR HOLDS ORIENTATION/COORDINATION MEETING FOR ADOPT-AN-ESTERO
In support of DENR Secretary Ramon Paje’s Goal to clean-up Metro Manila’s waterways and as part of EMB’s strategy to upgrade the water quality of Manila Bay, EMB-NCR conducted on March 08, 2011 an “Orientation/Coordination Meeting on Adopt-an-Estero” program with prospective donor-partners and the concerned Metro Manila Local Government Units (LGU).
The meeting aimed to orient the prospective donor-partners and LGUs on their roles and responsibilities in the "Adopt-an-Estero" program and thereby solicit their participation and support to the program.
During the meeting, the attendees were likewise appraised on the conditions of Metro Manila's esteros and river systems to further inculcate to them the urgency of taking actions and to work the government on the planned clean-up.
