Over the years, the Environmental Management Bureau Regional Office VIII, Tacloban City, has actively promoted the concept of Clean & Safe Air, Water and Green Environmental Productivity throughout the region through demonstration projects, information dissemination, and co-partnership with industrial promotional missions. EMB has established partnerships with the different NGOs, Industries and various Civil Society’s Development Organizations around the Eastern Visayas region.

EMB 8 initiated several researches to study the state of Environmental Laws  implementation in  the region. The specific research goals were to review the existing efforts to promote atmospheric related approaches; compile case studies of DAOs implementation and analyze barriers to further adoption of Safe Solid Waste Segregation practices; and provide recommendations on how to further develop the market of Recyclable produce in the region. This focuses on the enterprise level through the applications of productivity and management tools  that are in tandem with waste and emission prevention, energy conservation, pollution control, and Environmental Management Systems (EMS).
